5 Seconds of Summer Announces An Upcoming World Tour And Live Album Celeb Secrets
Since forming in 2011, 5 Seconds of Summer has taken the world by storm!
Garnering ten European Music awards, five ARIA awards, three APRA Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, one American Music Award, one People’s Choice Award, and more throughout their career, the band has clearly had a great deal of success during their 12 years in the music industry.
Fortunately, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin are only going up from here!
Today (April 6), the Australian pop-rock band took to social media to share two very exciting announcements, grasping the attention of 5SOS fans all across the globe…
Ever since 5 Seconds of Summer dropped their fifth studio album this past September, featuring tracks like “COMPLETE MESS,” “Me, Myself & I,” “Bad Omens” and more, fans have been anxiously awaiting a new release from the multi-platinum band.
Now, the wait is FINALLY over 🙌
The band announced that The Feeling of Falling Upwards – Live from The Royal Albert Hall will be coming very soon to all music streaming platforms.
Consisting of live renditions of smash hits like “Youngblood,” “Teeth,” “She Looks So Perfect” and more, the 17-track project takes performances from the band’s once-in-a-lifetime show, The Feeling of Falling Upwards, which occurred the night prior to 5SOS5‘s release.
The Feeling of Falling Upwards took place at the ICONIC Royal Albert Hall, featuring both a 12-piece string orchestra AND a 12-member gospel choir, ultimately allowing for stunning renditions of some fan-favorite tracks, both old and new – It was truly performance like no other!
“’The Feeling of Falling Upwards’ is simply supposed to describe to you the feeling that we have experienced together, the feeling of taking a leap of faith on such a fickle thing like music,” drummer Ashton Irwin shared onstage during this legendary event. “And sharing this experience together year after year, season after season of our lives.”
In an Instagram post, the band wrote, “Playing this show for all of you was indescribable, and we’re thrilled you can all relive this moment with us over and over again. The Feeling of Falling Upwards – Live from The Royal Albert Hall is yours on April 14th.”
Regardless of if they were in attendance or not, fans are so excited to transport themselves to this extra special night and be able to stream these impeccable tracks whenever they please!
Aside from the announcement of this exciting live album, 5 Seconds of Summer revealed that they will be hitting venues in North America, South America, Europe AND the United Kingdom this summer for The 5 Seconds of Summer Show.
