Bureau of Land Management offers wild horse adoptions in Caldwell
The Bureau of Land Management offered wild horse adoption this weekend in Caldwell.
Horses up for adoption previously roamed on public lands, mostly in the in Wyoming and Nevada. BLM periodically removes excess animals to maintain healthy herds and protect other resources.
Idaho BLM offered 34 untrained wild horses, 22 mares and 12 geldings for adoption this weekend.
To quality to adopt, one had to be at least 18, with no record of animal abuse. There were also requirements for homes, relating to house side and access to essentials.
