Cloudy morning followed by clearing this afternoon as temperatures begin to rise
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — We're waking up to cloudy skies around the Treasure Valley this morning. A deep upper-level trough over Montana and Wyoming is exiting the region today, which is bringing us that cloud cover this morning.
Skies should clear as we head into the afternoon and we'll see clear skies tonight. There is a slight chance of a few spotty showers this morning. Most of those showers will be in the mountains, but we could see a shower or two around the valley.
Highs will reach the low 60s today. A strong ridge of high pressure is still expected to move in on Thursday. This will guarantee sunshine from Thursday through early next week and will also bring us a significant warming trend.
Highs will warm into the 70s on Thursday. With high pressure intensifying this weekend, we should see highs in the low to mid-80s on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy the warmth everyone!
