List of Disney Soccer Movies

Disney features all kinds of genres of movies and Disney Soccer movies are one of the huge hits of the company of the popular movies. Who doesn’t love soccer? Well I do!!!, and I loved to enjoy my favorite sport with little bit of drama.

Disney Soccer Movies is not a genre the company has really exploited. Most disney soccer movies mostly emphacizes on hardwork, teams and didication. Disney doesn’t have lots of soccer movies in their portfolio. But we have taken the pain to bring to you some disney soccer movies.

Here is a List of Disney Soccer Movies

1. The Big Green:

First on the list of Disney soccer movies is The Big Green. The Big Green is a 1995 American family sports comedy film by Walt Disney Pictures starring Olivia d’Abo and Steve Guttenberg, written and directed by Holly Goldberg Sloan.

In this movie, a teacher on exchange from England is placed in an underachieving Texan school, where she coaches the children in soccer, improving their self esteem and leading to unexpected success.

This live-action masterpiece didn’t just include one soccer game; the sport is central to the plot of this 1995 film. When Miss Montgomery had a less-than-enthused class, she decided to approach her lessons in a novel way: by instructing her students in the ways of soccer. The kids weren’t the best team to begin with, but through blood, sweat, and tears (and some pretty fantastical imaginations), they came through and pulled together to prove that “they’re not the nothings from nowhere.”

2. Air Bud: World Pup:

Air Bud: World Pup, also known as Air Bud 3, is a 2000 direct-to-video comedy film directed by Bill Bannerman. The third film in the Air Bud series, it was the 2nd to be filmed without Buddy, the canine star of the first film; Buddy died after production of the first film.

A boy discovers that his amazing golden retriever, Buddy, also excels at football. Buddy joins the local football team just in time for the championship playoff.

Is there a better way to commemorate the World Cup than with our favorite Golden Retriever and his very own “World Pup?” This film follows Buddy’s owner, Josh, as the two join a soccer team and compete for the championship. It stars soccer legends Briana Scurry, Brandi Chastain, and Tisha Venturini. While these two deal with crushes, puppies, and the famous game itself, not everything goes as planned. It wouldn’t be an Air Bud classic if they didn’t have some furry foils on their way to victory, would it?

3. Goal! The Dream Begins:

Goal! (released as Goal! The Dream Begins in the United States) is a 2005 British sports drama film directed by Danny Cannon.

Goal! is another great Disney Soccer movies, its a soccer-star-studded film. Goal! The Dream Begins tells the rags-to-riches story of Santiago Muez, who works two jobs to support his family while also pursuing his passion: soccer. When he is discovered by a former professional soccer player, Santiago’s life is turned upside down and he is flown to England to try out for Newcastle United. As he faces adversity from the other players on the field, Santiago must learn to overcome not only their doubts, but also his own. This film will tug at your heartstrings, keep you cheering, and, of course, reinvigorate your love for the game.

4. Bedknobs and Broomsticks:

Bedknobs and Broomsticks can not be left out great Disney soccer movies. Emelius Browne serves as a volunteer referee for two very “wild” teams in this unforgettable Disney classic. Mr. Browne finds himself in the middle of the animal antics as predator (including the lion king of Naboombu) goes against prey, suffering burned feet and nearly being trampled (multiple times) over the course of the match. This game was unlike anything we’ve seen in recent weeks—and we’re pretty sure they broke a couple, if not all, of FIFA’s rules—but it may be the first time we’re rooting for the referee rather than one of the teams!

When neither sister is named to the team of their choice, they follow a time-honored twin tradition and switch places on their respective teams. These Disney soccer movies is driven by themes of teamwork and perseverance, but family is at the heart of it all.
